Our origin story
MiniStride Shoes was founded by a team of parents and designers in Ottawa, Ontario, who noticed a problem: kids’ shoes were either uncomfortable, quickly worn out, or boring. They wanted a shoe that could keep up with children’s boundless energy, while also providing comfort, support, and durability.
The team combined athletic shoe technology with kid-friendly designs, testing every pair in playgrounds, sports fields, and everyday adventures. The result? Shoes that kids love and parents trust, blending fun, functionality, and long-lasting quality in every stride.
